Running a Dedicated Descent3 Server

The server file is a .cfg file
These go in your D3 directory, adjust the number of players to not less than 35K per player.
If you have 128k upload you might be able to support 4 players. P2P shakers is more 
forgiving than C/S.  
Remember to put your PXO UserName and PXO password in the file. 
You can change the game name to what ever.  and add your own message of the day:
MOTD=message goes here
 Also make sure the .nm3 mission file is in your mission directory and it's spelled the same in your
 server file, same Case as well.

Now download the D3AS  I use vr.042 Beta.

You have to set it up by pointing to the Descent3 dir, and the cash, or created your own 
Temp dir. If you run more that one server create a temp file for each.
 You can run up to 3 games using D3AS if you have the upload bandwidth to handle 
it. Close the D3AS program and re-start the program, it will pick up any server.cfg files 
in your D3 Dir.  
Make a file with notepad called gamespy.cfg and place the following in it:

 0
master0.gamespy.com:27900

Now D3AS can run 3 servers at the same time, but you may only use one.  Be sure to check 
the enable gamespy box and type in the file name "gamespy.cfg", and check the start 
minimized check box.
Your ready to rock, only other thing make sure your mission file is the same case as 
how it's listed in the cfg file.
